What We've Been Up To...
1. Welcoming our new friend, Addie, into the world. She is the daughter of our friends Angie and Brian. She was born last Thursday and is adorable. Andy and I have been reminiscing about our first few weeks as Henry's parents and sending good thoughts their way. She is about the same size as Henry when he was born and I was astonished to hold her and recall Henry at that size. I am incredibly jealous that Angie gets to stay home with her baby girl from now until next September. Lucky!
2. Trying to sell our house. Grrrr.
3. Going to swimming lessons. The last few weeks I have taken my turn in the pool with Hens. He did so much better tonight. He smiled maybe half the time rather than one quarter. He also had some giggles in the life jacket (good news for summer cabins!) and voluntarily put his face in the water and blew bubbles.
4. Walking!! Henry is doing really well cruising around on furniture and holding our hands. This weekend we visited the zoo and he very confidently held our hands as he walked around in Discovery Bay and next to the Coral Reef exhibit. He is not really getting up on his own and walking, but he's pretty fun. He is also proud of hisself. At the zoo he was smiling and waving to people as he was walking. He waves at EVERYONE these days and he does this funny backwards wave so it looks like he is waving at himself. Hilarious!
5. Waiting for warmer weather and spring.
