Joshua

Awhile back Henry acquired a little doll named Joshua from his friend, Finn. Joshua came with the story "Once Upon a Potty," a potty-training book. Henry has shown interest in Joshua over the last few months and has even show interest in whether or not Joshua is sitting on his potty, which is the actual purpose of the doll.

Tonight Henry was so sweet with Joshua. He helped Joshua through his normal bedtime routine. First, off with the PU (diaper) and shirt. Next, BATH TIME (he really didn't go in the water). Then Henry WICC'D (used the hair-dryer) on him. Then Joshua got one of Henry's diapers, which covered his whole body, which made Henry rock him and pat his sleep. When I offered a blanket instead, Henry rocked him and said "Joshua nigh-nigh" and patted his back. But then, WAKEY WAKEY! and Henry took him to the potty chair, where both boys sat on their respectively sized toilets. Then Henry was all done with Joshua. He mentioned reading CHICKA CHICKA to him, but skipped it in the end. He did attempt to slather him up with Triple Paste though.

It was so entertaining to see him care for someone else, even if it is just a doll. It was also interesting to see how aware he is of the details of his own routine. All this after he "helped" make some of our pasta salad for dinner and swept afterwards. He's pretty fun (if you like cleaning, cooking, and organization :) )!
