Jack & Henry, Henry & Jack!

Tonight Jack had his first bites of rice cereal. It seems to have snuck up on us that this kid would eat more than milk at some point. All of a sudden we find ourselves back to "meal planning" for a baby again. As you can see, Henry took his big brother role very seriously tonight. Jack seems to be giving Henry a look that says "If you say so, big brother." Jack is a delightful little guy and has gratuitous smiles for most everyone he meets. He is easy-going and likes to be on the move. He'd much prefer to experience life from the Baby Bjorn than the stroller. His giggles and smooches are treasured by those who love him!

Henry is tenacious as ever. Some days I swear that he has bypassed his early childhood and is a teenager who rolls his eyes at the stupidity of his parents. He is walking the fine-line between being a baby and fully being a big boy. He is having a hard time letting go of some of the comforts of his life so far. He is stubborn - which he has been his whole life and comes by it through both of his parents - and is good at it too! He loves trains - playing, watching, learning. He is growing beans on our deck this year and has a few beans on his stalk. He has declared that he and Jack will become giants once the beanstalks are done growing. He also brings grins to those of us who love him!
