Culminating Activities
Henry's week-plus of illness culminated in a rash and a panicked call from day care on Wednesday afternoon. It was filled with drama, but yielded little result. His rash was most likely from the official end of his fever from the weekend. But I got an alarming message from day care, which kind of set the tone for a frantic couple of hours. He is still sleepy and eating very picky, but he's playing much more. Thank you to the moms who posted and the moms that I've talked to. Its nice to not feel so crazy!
A special message for the Abbotts - Henry LOVES ketchup. Tonight we decided to give him some ketchup with his turkey dog, since it wasn't going down so well. We watched him suck the ketchup off the dog and spit it out. Then he was just rubbing his hands in the ketchup on the tray and frantically licking his hands. He doesn't even need a medium to eat the ketchup. Now he can eat pickles, chicken lo mein, and ketchup with you guys. :)
Henry is going to be 1 in five days. I can't believe it. Is there like a Terrible 1s or something? He is seriously getting funky about some stuff. Mostly he likes to do things that he is not supposed to and see our reaction - throwing food, dishes and remotes, shaking the tall floor lamp in the living room, and emptying the contents of our nightstands. He is becoming a tyrant. He also will not lie still to get his diaper changed, which makes for a challenge every couple of hours. He is only eating cheddar bunnies, graham crackers, and blueberries successfully this week. I think he's knows how to get what he wants and is not happy when we don't deliver. Ugh. And this will go on for... like 18 years? :)

I glad to hear that Henry is starting to rebound from a rough week. Hope you and Andy are recovering as well.
Henry and Mason can bond over there love of ketchup. It is amazing how little ones think ketchup is good plain.
Happy birthday week Henry. I cannot believe it has already been a year.
What is it about ketchup? My boys eat it with EVERYTHING! They even dip their PIZZA and Macaroni and Cheese in it!!
Only a couple more days until the big day!! Hope he is feeling great by then!!
